Saint Nicodimus

Saint Nikodemos is a church located near Saint Ermioni. It was named after Saint Nikodemos, who was born on the island of Naxos in 1744. His father’s name was Antonios and his mother’s name was Anastasia. His baptismal name was Nikolas. From an early age, he was brought up in the Christian faith by his parents. Among his special gifts were his excellent command of the Greek language, his knowledge of French and Latin, and his remarkable memory.

The feast day of Saint Nikodemos is celebrated on 14 July. It is also celebrated on the first Sunday of September, as well as on the third Sunday of September on the island of Paros.
